Well, JJ has proven so far that he doesn't know how to read and put basic stats into context, knows nothing about the history of the game ( not that important for the job ), he is a liar plain and simple, he's pretty stupid, never won anything, in fact was about to be shipped off to Turkish 2nd division after his 4th or 5th season, yet he behaves like he's the best player and wisest basketball mind of all time. What's not to like right?

That's the problem with former Lakers greats, they only see the team thru biased lens. They all know that the organization has been hijacked by Klutch Sports but they're afraid to be honest enough to say that the future looks very bleak because of the current shyt show.

"anthony davis might ask for a trade at the deadline if it doesn't work out with reddick" is a vastly different tone from "if you put joe mazzulla's brain and put it in a bird, the bird would fly backwards." critical is one thing, realistic is another....but neither of them encroach on being disrespectful. perk has to be a man and take responsibility for the words that come out of his mouth, regardless (and perhaps especially) if he's getting paid to say it.

The offense should be ran through AD not Bron all he is doing is stat padding his numbers, They played good without him the Lakers should be building around AD and let Bron fall back some and help in other ways. Wilt could have done what Bron did with the Lakers but he had more integrity and respect.

Redick should know that you don't disrespect the players who started it all. He is coming off as a journeyman has been, who was never good enough to stick with one team and now he is trying to make a name for himself. He's doing it, but that's not the type of attention you want at all and he didn't deserve to be on the same program with Dominique, who was simply trying to calm things down and explain what Cooper is saying. You simply cannot compare an era that is so different than it was back when Cooper and Bird played vs. what the game looks like today. You have great players from both eras, but the NBA game today looks like a shootaround compared to the lowpost inside game of Cooper's era.

About KC Jones drawing up that play, KC said he called timeout and Larry started telling him just get him the ball and get everyone else out of the way. KC said he was the coach and he'll draw up the play and they will run that play. So KC drew up the play. He told Kevin to inbound the ball and get it to DJ and for DJ to get it to Larry and told everyone else to get out of the way.

When Bird said DJ was the best player he ever played with.. Another underrated player who took way too long to get into the Hall of Fame, but he did get there. He thrived in big games, and he could lock down some of the best players in the league (he was the toughest defender against Magic Johnson). Bird and DJ were one of the best passing duos in NBA history. DJ would throw a bullet, even off the dribble, to Bird in mid air at the exact place and time it had to be there.
